Lord God,
We seek your blessing as a family and we thank you for the ways in which you make known to us. We continue to live through these days, days for which we were not prepared, days in which we are all trying our best to live peacefully together, in a way that nobody finds quite right.
You have given us families in which to grow, be nurtured and loved. May that purpose be central to our thoughts. Surprise us with the opportunities to love, to care, to encourage.
Open to us the treasures of your word, for you are the God who Speaks, giving us new insights, challenging us to find you in new ways, and reminding us that your voice has resounded through history in the hearts of holy men and women.
We make our prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen
