We had three visitors from Scotland at the 6pm Mass on Saturday.
I am told Darcy dog was most devout during Mass and waited for her mom and dad to return from receiving Holy communion in quiet reflection. I showed Darcy’s family the dog by the statue of St. Dominic at the front of our Sanctuary with the torch in his/her mouth.
St. Dominic’s mother had a vision of a dog running through the world setting fire along the way. This was a vision of her son, Dominic, who would take the fire of his faith to many souls and re-ignite the faith of those who were lukewarm.
My dog Trooper says his prayers at home. He already has to endure me trying out bits of my homily on him. If he shows and interest, I know I am on a winner.
